Sagada

Barlig is known for Mount Amuyao, one of the highest peaks in the Philippines and a major destination for hikers, trail runners, and mountaineers. The municipality is also home to waterfalls, forests, and traditional highland communities, earning it the nickname "Home of the Pristine Mountains." Steep ridges and deep valleys give Barlig some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in the area.

Sadanga is known for Fowa-as Falls, a scenic waterfall that has been featured in national television programs. The town is also known for its traditional beliefs, indigenous practices, and the scenic rice terraces of Anabel and Betwagan. Mountain trails, caves, the Chico River, and steep forested slopes give Sadanga a strong adventure and cultural appeal.

Tadian is known as the 'Gateway to the West' and is one of the highland towns where traditional culture remains an important part of community life. The annual Ayyoweng di Lambak di Tadian celebrates thanksgiving and helps preserve older customs through dancing, music, and community gatherings. Mountain farms, rice terraces, rivers, and trails give the municipality a scenic highland setting.

Bontoc is the capital town and is best known for the Bontoc Museum, which preserves artifacts, photographs, and traditional houses that tell the story of the Bontoc people. The town is also a gateway to the Maligcong, Bayyo, and other stone-walled rice terraces, as well as waterfalls, caves, hot springs, and mountain trails. Its surrounding mountains and terraces make Bontoc an important cultural and outdoor destination in the highlands.

Bauko is known for its highland farms, rice terraces, and Mount Data, where the historic Mount Data Lodge has welcomed travelers since the 1960s. The lodge sits along the Halsema Highway and has long served as a mountain stop for travelers exploring the Cordillera. Cool weather, steep valleys, vegetable farms, and mountain ridges give Bauko its distinct highland character.
