Feast of Our Lady of Candles (Fiesta Candelaria)

Celebrated every February 2 in Jaro, Iloilo City, the Feast of Our Lady of Candles is widely known as Fiesta Candelaria. This grand religious event honors Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, the patroness of Western Visayas. The Jaro Metropolitan Cathedral becomes the center of devotion as thousands gather for a solemn procession, hourly masses, and the traditional lighting of long candles known as perdons, reflecting the community's deep faith and hope.
