The area is also part of the ancestral homeland of the Tagbanwa people, whose culture remains an important part of Coron’s identity.

Roxas is a bustling coastal town known as the Cashew Capital of the region, famous for its sweet cashew nuts and active local fishing industry. Its flat coastal terrain supports busy port commerce and scenic bay views.
