Information about Las Pinas
ReportLas Piñas is famous for the Bamboo Organ at St. Joseph Parish Church, a National Cultural Treasure and the only surviving and functioning 19th-century bamboo organ in the Philippines. Built by Fr. Diego Cera in the early 1800s, the organ has 1,031 pipes, most of them made from bamboo, and is celebrated through the annual International Bamboo Organ Festival. The city also has the Las Piñas–Parañaque Critical Habitat and Ecotourism Area and other heritage sites that add a greener side to its busy urban landscape.
